These blankets are perfect, they just have less Gotland wool in than our normal blankets. They were made with surplus wool whilst weaving our blankets last year. Made from 100% British wool, reared and processed in the UK and then expertly woven in Bristol at the renowned Bristol Weaving Mill - even the labels were printed in Wales. They have a lightly brushed finish which gives a gorgeous soft feel and added warmth on chilly days.
We’ve named the blankets after our two favourite ewes - the leaders of the flock, Snowflake and Fitzgerald. Snowflake is the grandmother of the flock who hasn’t lambed for three years but she is a brilliant leader and teacher for the new lambs - she keeps everyone in order. Fitzgerald was a lockdown lamb and is another leader in the flock with a very friendly and calm character. They both love a cuddle so it only seemed fitting to call our blankets after them.
